Madonna and Guy Ritchie have recruited a marriage guidance counselor to help them to save their relationship.

The recent adoption of baby David has bought about a media storm in the couple’s life and apparently their relationship has really suffered. According to The People, the couple have sought the help of a marriage counselor to deal with their crumbling relationship.

The singer and her director husband were reportedly having marriage problems before adopting David and facing the media backlash, but the situation has only worsened since they returned from Malawi.

A source says, “The publicity surrounding the adoption has created a difficult atmosphere in their London home. But they are determined to make the marriage work and after a long heart-to-heart they both decided to seek the help of a marriage guidance specialist.”

“Although little David has brought a ray of sunshine into the couple’s lives, the strain and pressures of introducing a new child from a different culture into their family has understandably brought additional pressures.”

Madonna had recently expressed her desire to adopt another underprivileged child but the source claims that Ritchie is not as keen.

The insider continues, “Although he loves little David as his own he thinks they should be both concentrating on their own relationship at this time, not adding a new one.”
