Blame it on W
That’s exactly what David Blaine did when TMZ asked him to explain the failure of the much hyped, Dive of Death. He said the stunt failed because President Bush’s speech ran long and the wind died down. The original plan was to jump off the platform, fall about 5 feet, then get carried away by helium balloons.
Wait… so the Dive of Death was a 5 foot drop and then a magical balloon ride. Oh my, that’s is terrifying! What’s next? A nap with a big, fluffy teddy bear.
Dog the Bounty Hunter Has Been Neutered
As expected, A&E has pulled “Dog the Bounty Hunter” from the air after Duane “Dog” Chapman was heard on tape repeatedly using the N-word. TMZ reports:
In evaluating the circumstances of the last few days, A&E has decided to take ‘Dog The Bounty Hunter’ off the network’s schedule for the foreseeable future,” the network said in a statement Friday. “We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun.” Officials for the network said the series, one of the network’s top-rated programs, has not been canceled. Yet.”
How many times does this have to happen for people to realize that you should never use the N-word… ever.
And yes, I do realize that this was a private conversation that was taped by his son and released to the public but you have to admit that Dog’s reason for the racist rant is ridiculous at best. He doesn’t want the woman, who is of African American decent, around because she may “set him up” for using the N-word. I’m no genious but I’m pretty sure there is another solution. You could… I don’t know… maybe… just maybe… NOT USE THE N-WORD!
Eliza Dushku to Star in “Dollhouse”
Eliza Dushku is set to star in a new Fox TV series from Joss Whedon, who also created “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel.” Here’s the scoop according to SciFi Wire:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon is heading back to TV, along with his Buffy co-star Eliza Dushku, with Dollhouse, an SF series that Fox has given a seven-episode order, Variety reported.
Dollhouse follows a top-secret world of people programmed with different personalities, abilities and memories, depending on their mission.
After each assignment—which can be physical, romantic or even illegal—the characters have their memories wiped clean and are sent back to a lab (dubbed the dollhouse). The show centers on Dushku’s character, Echo, as she slowly begins to develop some self-awareness.
Buffy and Angel fans will certainly be excited about a new Joss Whedon TV show but who really cares… the important thing here is we get to see Eliza on a weekly basis again. And for that, you should be thankful.
Hey, this seems like as good a time as any to post these Eliza Dushku cleavage pictures… Enjoy! Many more after the jump.
Dog, the Racist Bounty Hunter?
The National Enquirer has obtained an 11 minute audio tape that captures Duane “Dog” Chapman - the star of the A&E show “Dog the Bounty Hunter” - telling his son Tucker that he must break up with his girlfriend because she’s… well… because she’s of African American decent. According to The Enquirer:
In a shocking world exclusive The ENQUIRER has obtained tapes of two revolting phone conversations in which Duane “Dog” Chapman unleashes a filthy bigoted attack, littered with the N-word and other disgusting racial insults.
The star of the A&E reality show Dog, The Bounty Hunter directed his racist hatred at his son Tucker’s girlfriend Monique Shinnery, who is black.
You can go here to hear the tape, but I have to warn you he uses the N-word around 50 times. It’s really bad… and you have been warned.
In a related and not surprising announcement, A&E has decided to suspend production on Dog, The Bounty Hunter.
“A&E has just learned of the story released by the National Enquirer concerning Duane Dog Chapman. We take this matter very seriously. Pending an investigation, we have suspended production on the series. When the inquiry is concluded we will take appropriate action.”
Wow, looks like Dog can kiss that show goodbye…
Another American Idol Sex Scandal
On the heels of the whole Antonella Barba situation comes news of a another American Idol sex scandal. Two seasons ago, Mario Vazquez shocked the world by pulling out just days before they were about to compete, citing “family reasons.” Now, a scandalous lawsuit has been brought against the singer, FOX Entertainment, and Fremantle Media that accuses Vazquez of having “sexually harrassed” the show’s assistant accountant:
In the lawsuit, [Magdaleno] Olmos claims “Vazquez stared lasciviously, smiled lasciviously … and on one occasion followed him into a bathroom … knocked on the door of the plaintiff’s stall and made eye contact through the space in the stall door.”
The lawsuit alleges that Vazquez “started to rub his genitals over his pants. Attempting to leave the bathroom, Olmos opened the door of the stall and saw Vazquez standing in front of him with his pants down masturbating.”
According to the documents, Vazquez pushed Olmos “further into the stall and continued masturbating with one hand and trying to pull down Olmos’ pants with another hand.
Of course, this all happened two seasons ago, when the show still operated under the misconception that it was some sort of bastion of family entertainment.
